Frequently asked questions
Can I scan a QR code that is on my own screen?
Yes. Take a screenshot and drop it here, or point the phone camera at the screen.
Why was no code found?
The code may be too small, blurry, cut off or low in contrast. Crop the image around the code, use a sharper picture, or make sure the whole code including its white border is visible.
Is the camera image sent anywhere?
No. Frames are analyzed on your device and discarded. The camera stops as soon as a code is found or when you press Stop.
Does it read barcodes too?
No. This scanner reads QR codes only.
